The East Martello Museum is full of history and is also the home of "Robert the Haunted Doll". The Fort has a distinct eerie feeling to it, but the exhibits are great. Be sure to ask Robert's permission if you want to take a picture! Legend says that if you don't ask his permission to take a photo, none of your photos will turn out.

Key West offers some of the finest sport fishing you'll find anywhere. Take the fishing charter and enjoy some incredible deep sea sport fishing, or enjoy some fly fishing from the shore.

#10. La Concha Hotel
La Concha Hotel is the tallest building in Old Town. Make your way to the top and marvel at the magnificent panoramic view of the entire island. There is also a restaurant and a bar at the top offering another observation deck.

Best Time To Visit

The most popular time to travel to the Florida Keys is between December and May. The temperatures a warm, but not overly hot.

The hurricane season is from June to October, so you may experience afternoon thunderstorms and some high humidity levels, although you will find that prices are significantly cheaper at this time of the year.

Festival Events

August Full Moon:
During the August Full Moon, the South Duval Gallery 'Howl' kicks off to celebrate the full moon. The Howl offers great food and drink specials, music, arts, live performances, dances and other entertainment.

Lobsterfest:
Early August also sees the Lobsterfest Street fair. Enjoy freshly caught lobster while you're being entertained at the street fair in Duval. You'll see free concerts and entertainment and enjoy some great food.

Fantasy Fest:
The end of October sees Key West celebrating the Fantasy Fest. This 10-day celebration features costume competitions, promenades, street fairs and a grand parade. Check the theme of each fest and then choose your costume accordingly.
